Tharwat A. Safa is the Autism & Discrete Trial Program Specialist with Aiken County School District. She holds both an Ed.S and a M.Ed from the Citadel, and a B.S. in Elementary/Early Childhood Education from the College of Charleston. She is also considered a Nationally Certified School Psychologist and a Licensed Psycho-Educational Specialist in SC. Ms. Safa has served children in the public and private sector for over 17 years, and carries the following certificates: School Psychology Level II, Elementary Education, Early Childhood Education, and Early Childhood Special Education. The majority of her years in education have been spent working with special populations. Ms. Safa has worked as both a general and special education teacher for grades K-8, school psychologist, director of education for a residential treatment program, and as a Director of Clinical Day Programming.
