Dr. Toneka M. Green

Dr. Toneka M. Green is a devoted and experienced educator. She has taught 2nd, 3rd, and 5th grade, and filled positions as a curriculum and instructional coach, as well as a master teacher with the Teacher Advancement Program (TAP) at the elementary and middle school levels. Dr. Green is certified by Buck Institute for Education (BIE) as a Project-Based Learning (PBL) Coach. She has experience with Common Core State Standards implementation and district-level vertical articulation. Dr. Green has been responsible for school-wide testing coordination, curriculum design and pacing, formal teacher evaluation, pre-service teacher supervision, and the delivery of professional development. She has also participated in the South Carolina Department of Education Literacy Leaders Institute and is the Mentoring and Development Coordinator for a youth development program. Not only does she attribute her successes as an educator to her experience, her commitment to being a life-long learner has also been beneficial to her professional growth. Dr. Green holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education, a Master’s Degree in Curriculum and Instruction, and a Doctorate Degree in Teaching and Learning, with a focus on Research-Based Literacy Practices and Closing the Racial Achievement Gap. She has also completed a Principal Certification Program in Educational Leadership. She holds certification in South Carolina, Georgia, and Florida and is certified in the areas of Elementary Education and Administration. Dr. Green looks forward to continuing her professional growth and development, in the efforts of being a resource to students and other educators.
