Gale Kulmala currently teaches adult learners in the Wagener-Salley Adult Education program and works with USC-A in supervising student teachers and facilitating Blackboard classes for GT endorsement. She attended Furman University and the University of Georgia, and then received her B.A. in History and her M.Ed. in Elementary Education from LaGrange College. During her 40+ years in education, she has been an elementary, ELA, middle school math, and G/T classroom teacher, along with serving as a middle school math specialist, technology coach, and instructional coach. Her awards include District Teacher of the Year (Williston #29) and the Lighthouse Award (SC Autism Society). She authored the print materials for Math in the Middle of Design (SERC/NSF).
