Leaders in Literacy Conference has ended

Dr. Sara Burrows

Dr. Sara Burrows teaches American and European history at the University of South Carolina. She received her Masters degree in history at Virginia Tech, and her PhD
at the USC. She’s taught history for over 15 years and has won several teaching awards, including recognition from the Center of Teaching Excellence and Office of Student Disabilities at USC, and from the Mortar Board National Honor Society. She also works as a freshmen advisor for the College of Arts and Sciences at USC. The majority of Dr. Burrows’ students are freshmen and sophomores who are taking survey courses to satisfy the university’s Carolina Core requirements.
