Prove It! Gathering the Evidence Through Research for Evidence Based Writing - AHS: Room# SM104
Limited Capacity filling up

Students are being asked to engage in rigorous research and academic writing using text-based evidence. Participants will learn how to engage all students in rigorous research and academic writing using text-based evidence with a focus on the key elements of argument writing and research. Participants will learn the use of graphic organizers and research tools to help students ask focused questions and gather evidence. At the end of the session, participants will be able to plan instruction using strategies and tools to engage students in rigorous research and academic writing.

The Renaissance to Robots: How can I support literacy skills through science and social studies? - SAHS: Room# 111 Lab
Limited Capacity seats available

Through hands-on experiences, participants will learn quick and easy methods to support note-taking skills, summarizing skills, create questions for inquiry-based research, cite sources, and promote accuracy in research. Participants will be able to take these skills into their classrooms Monday and begin incorporating them into their current lessons.
