This session shows teachers how items are aligned to state standards on large-scale

assessments from a cognitive demand perspective and how to incorporate this framework

into classroom assessments. This session focuses on the Webb (2005) Depth of Knowledge

model. In particular, the focus of this session will be on DOK 3 items that require

inferences/generalizations of historical themes with supporting evidence.
