This session is designed for teachers of all levels and all disciplines. Attendees will learn about brain research and contemporary theories regarding manual dexterity and simultaneous cognitive function. Attendees will review research, practice hands-on techniques, and receive handouts with resources for their own use. At the end of this session, participants will be able to utilize current research on fine motor skills as a fundamental process for developing literacy in their own classrooms.
