Read Alouds allow the teacher and students to think about, talk about, and respond to text; it is an active process. Interactive Read Alouds are an important component of effective literacy instruction to improve listening, comprehension, fluency, vocabulary skills, attitudes about reading, and student ability to visualize text. At the end of the session, participants will be able to think more purposefully when planning interactive read alouds.
