Participants will engage in an alternate approach to solving mathematical problems with opportunities for increased understanding through rigorous thinking, communicating, reading, and writing. Differentiation will occur throughout the experience. This approach can be used in any mathematics class.

Marla Herlong has worked with Aiken County School District as a Math Curriculum Specialist the past four years. She stays current in research based practices and integrates mathematics with several other content areas when possible.
