The objective of this session is to gain a basic understanding of children who are deaf or hard of hearing, what it means, what it looks like in the classroom, and how we can accommodate and better communicate with this population of students.

Kandice is a teacher of the deaf/hard of hearing for Aiken County. She has been teaching for six years and holds certifications in the areas of education of the deaf/hard of hearing, elementary education, and early childhood special education.
