Reading affects writing and writing affects reading.  This session is designed to help teachers develop and enhance student’s essential cross content writing skills.  Participants will receive valuable research based information and strategies on the interconnection between reading and writing.  They will also take away strategies to reinforce the development of literacy skills across all content areas.

Denise Broome is currently the ACPSD Human Resources Classified Staff & Information Systems Coordinator. Denise has served as an educator for over 14 years. During her years in the classroom Denise was twice named Redcliffe Elementary School Teacher of the Year and was selected as a Golden Apple Awards winner. She has also served as one of the district’s Literacy Model Teachers.
