At the end of this session, participants will gain an understanding of balanced literacy components and be provided with techniques on how to teach standards, strategies and skills through trade books paired with multiple modalities of digital texts.

Kelli has twenty-four years of experience in the classroom working with students from preschool to college. She is passionate about using real literature in the classroom and is currently working on her doctorate studying the effects of pairing literature with other texts.
