The purpose of this session is to assist teachers in understanding and meeting the literary needs of the gifted student. This is an opportunity to share with teachers research based strategies and techniques for differentiating instruction for high ability and high achieving students. Participants will gain clearer understanding of how to promote literary achievement through effective instructional practices designed for gifted student. To do this, it is important that teachers have a clear understanding of the different social, emotional and academic needs of the advanced learner.
